Report quantifiable student outcomes (e.g., diagnostic growth, standards mastery, credits earned, etc.)

But, we won’t stop there! After naming our inaugural class, we’ll open up a nationwide vote to pick one Teacher of the Year and one Administrator of the Year. Each will receive a $500 Target gift card for themselves and $250 donated to a charity of their choice.

Time Period:

Survey entries can be submitted starting 12:00 a.m. Central Time (CT) on Monday, February 7, 2022, and may not be submitted after 11:59 p.m. CT on Friday, April 8, 2022.

Eligibility:

The applicants must be educator or administrator employees of a Study Island customer and have completed the contest survey. Only U.S. customers are eligible for this giveaway. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. The awards identified herein are subject to all applicable laws and regulations and are void where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law.

Giveaway:

Three educators, one from each grade band (elementary, middle, and high school), will each receive a $500 Target gift card. These winners and all general entrants may be featured in Edmentum's "Design Your Own Study Island Spring Contest" marketing collateral

There are no substitutions unless specified by the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value. Giveaway recipients are required to ensure that their acceptance of the prize does not violate any terms and conditions of their employment or applicable law.

Winner Selection:

All survey entrants are automatically entered into the giveaway and winners will be randomly selected. To learn about increasing the chances of winning, visit our FAQ page for more details.

Winner Notification:

Sponsor will attempt to contact all winners on or before April 22, 2022 by email or phone. Sponsor will make THREE (3) attempts to contact the potential winners at the nominees email or phone number provided by the person submitting the nomination. If a winner cannot be contacted within 3 days of the first attempted contact, or if a winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, that winner may be deemed ineligible and an alternate winner will be selected. Awards are not exchangeable or transferable. Eligibility for an award is also conditioned on the potential winner nominee granting the sponsor and its agents the right to associate and publicize the nominee and nomination with nominee's name, school, and state, without compensation. Personally identifiable information collected from or in connection with the nomination will be collected by and used by Sponsor, its affiliates, marketing agents, and marketers for purposes of administering and publicizing the fall contest. All winners are required to ensure that their acceptance of the award does not violate any terms and conditions of their employment or applicable law or preclude or restrict Sponsor from doing business with their employer. To the extent that any tax applies to prize, the prize recipient agrees to be responsible for the payment of such tax.

Publicity:

By submitting a nomination or accepting an award, each submitter and award winner grants Sponsor permission to use the person’s name, likeness, voice, photographs, video, opinions, and statements for advertising, marketing, and promotional purposes and also in connection with Sponsor’s distribution of its products and services and each submitter, on their own behalf and on behalf of their employer, represents and warrants to Sponsor that their submission will not include the personally identifiable information of any individual and that the submitter and/or his or her employer has obtained all appropriate and/or legally required written permissions and consents from any and all individuals (and their parent and/or guardians, as applicable) included in any photographs and/or videos submitted to enable Sponsor to use such individuals name, likeness, voice, photographs, video, opinions and statements for advertising, marketing and promotional purposes and also in connection with Sponsor’s distribution of its products and services. Each submitter shall promptly provide Sponsor with copies of the permissions and consents identified in the prior sentence upon Sponsor’s request. Any use of the forgoing by Sponsor may be in any manner or media now or hereafter known or existing, worldwide, in perpetuity and without compensation to anyone, notice or further consent, unless prohibited by applicable law. The rights granted Sponsor in this paragraph shall include Sponsors right and permission to revise or modify the voice, photographs, videos or statements submitted by a submitter as Sponsor deems appropriate prior to Sponsors use of such as permitted in this paragraph. Each submitter and award winner and/or his or her employer shall indemnify and hold Sponsor and its employees, agents, officers and directors harmless from and against any costs or damages to such for each submitter and award winner and/or his or her employers failure to satisfy their obligations under this paragraph.

Terms and Conditions:

All nominations must be received during the Time Period specified above. Incomplete submissions, or those containing incorrect information, will be voided. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Submissions must be submitted in English. By participating, each submitter and award winner agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the subject matter identified herein.

Limitation of Liability Release:

By participating, each submitter and award winner agrees that Sponsor and related organizations, their agents, and employees (“Released Parties”) have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the award, or by their participation. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor for (a) incorrect or inaccurate entry information or late, unintelligible, illegible, damaged, mutilated, altered, incomplete, misdirected nominations received through impermissible channels, all of which will be disqualified; (b) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer online systems, computer equipment, website, server provider, network, hardware or software; (c) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any website or service; (d) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process or the award including, without limitation, multiple entries by the same person through use of automatic registration or other similar programs; (e) typographical, electronic or human errors that may occur in the offer or administration of the award or the processing of nominations; (f) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to submitters computer, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from their participation, or from viewing, playing or downloading any material from Sponsor’s website; (g) from the acceptance or use of the award; or (h) a submitter or an award winners or his or her employers failure to obtain the permissions and consents required to be obtained as identified in the Publicity paragraph. Sponsor reserves the right, without prior notice and at any time, to terminate or suspend the award in whole or in part, to extend the End Date or to modify the award or these Official Rules in any way, in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to void any submission if it believes such submission was submitted other than as required by these Official Rules or that the submission has been tampered with in any manner. Sponsor does not assume any responsibility for any schedule changes in the award timeline, including without limitation, scheduling conflicts, labor strikes, Acts of God, or other unforeseen events that disrupt the award schedule.

Internet Limitations of Liability:

If for any reason, this award is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the award, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate, modify or suspend the award in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and to select a winner, in Sponsor's sole discretion, from all non-suspect eligible submissions received as of the termination/suspension date. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, submissions. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, failure or delay of any email or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof. Sponsor is not responsible for any damage to submitter's systems occasioned by participating in this award or by downloading any information necessary to participate in the award.

Disputes:

By making a submission or agreeing to be recognized as an award winner, each submitter and award recipient agrees that (1) Any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the award shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (2) Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, and such parties shall not seek or be entitled to any punitive, consequential, exemplary or other damages, including costs associated with participating or attorneys' fees. Questions concerning the construction or interpretation of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the parties in connection thereof, shall be determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion.  

ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF SUBMITTERS, AWARD WINNERS OR CONTEST ENTITIES IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE'S LAWS. THE INVALIDITY OR UNENFORCEABILITY OF ANY PROVISION OF THESE RULES SHALL NOT AFFECT THE VALIDITY OR ENFORCEABILITY OF ANY OTHER PROVISION. IN THE EVENT THAT ANY PROVISION IS DETERMINED TO BE INVALID OR OTHERWISE UNENFORCEABLE OR ILLEGAL, THESE RULES SHALL OTHERWISE REMAIN IN EFFECT AND SHALL BE CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR TERMS AS IF THE INVALID OR ILLEGAL PROVISION WERE NOT CONTAINED HEREIN. EACH PERSON WHO PARTICIPATES IN THIS CONTEST (INCLUDING SUBMITTERS AND AWARD WINNERS) AGREES THAT THE STATE AND FEDERAL COURTS LOCATED IN MINNESOTA HAVE EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION OVER ANY SUIT OR OTHER PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF OR BASED UPON THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF SUBMITTERS, AWARD WINNERS OR CONTEST ENTITIES IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST AND EACH HEREBY WAIVES ANY CLAIM THAT IT IS NOT SUBJECT PERSONALLY TO THE JURISDICTION OF SAID COURTS OR THAT ANY SUCH SUIT OR OTHER PROCEEDING IS BROUGHT IN AN INCONVENIENT FORUM OR IMPROPER VENUE.
